Guest Speaker
Jonathan Rodriguez
Jonathan Rodriguez grew up near the Northeast Clubhouse and regularly attended the Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem throughout his elementary, middle, and high school years. At first, the Club was a place that he and his cousins would come to as a safe place to hang out and play basketball. Throughout his life he faced a great deal of adversity that he wanted to breakthrough. When the Club partnered with local boxing gym, Indio’s Boxing Gym, Jonathan recalls the excitement he felt to have something to work at. Through boxing he became more focused and goal-oriented. Today, Jonathan is a top-ranked boxer in the batamweight division, the former WBC Silver Bantamweigh Champion, the current WBA Intercontinental Bantamweight Champion, and has a professional boxing record of 17-2-1 (7 KO).
